With Thanksgiving this week, it’s clear that the holiday shopping season is in full swing. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, remains the most popular day of the shopping season. According to AOL, nearly 70% of buyers crowd box stores and shopping malls to get deep discounts on this day. But shoppers actually spend more money on Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving, $468 per purchase, versus $309 on Black Friday.

Online stores like Amazon and Ebay are big Cyber Monday destinations, as well as the online stores of major “brick and mortar” brands like Target and Walmart.

With Ebay celebrating its 20th birthday this year, this infographic from Irish parcel delivery service company, SnapParcel, offers an interesting look at the history of this e-commerce giant from their humble beginnings in San Jose, CA, to their more than 157 million active users.
