Modern web browsers and high resolution computer monitors are no longer limited to the 256 color pallet of old-school web design. The power of color should not be underestimated when redesigning a website.

People have natural and instinctive reactions to color. Many studies have shown how colors stimulate different areas of the brain by promoting excitement or tranquility. With this in mind, website designers should not select colors at random, since colors can easily influence online users and conversion rate by grabbing attention and triggering certain emotions.
